Why did he say that I came on to him the next morning?

okay so at a party and im a little bit tipsy and this guy from my school who ive never even talked to before starts asking me to do shots with him and i say no (giggling as i remember...) because my mums picking me up but he keeps trying to compromise (1/2 shots etc)and finally he lets me go and i go and dance with my friends. Then he starts trying to grind with me and me not turning round to see who it was remove his hands from my waist. Then the next school day everyone told me it was him and i was like oh okay. but last week my friend had a party, i got a bit drunk because i was sleeping over at her house and the guy comes over to me and starts apologising for what happened at the other party and then we talk for a bit and then we make out and he tells me that he never told anyone but he really likes me. but the next morning EVERYONE knows what happened and hes saying i came onto him even though everybody saw him kiss me. what the hell?
