The guy I like just randomly listed me as his "brother" on Facebook today without saying anything to me. We are close friends and yeah I am a "kooky" type of girl - my Facebook gender is listed as male, so the “brother” thing specifically is presumably in reference to that…He isn't the sort of person who adds loads of people as siblings; the only other person listed as family is his real life sister. Is this some kind of firm hint that he sees me "like a brother/sister" or what... what do you think? We have quite a "touchy-feely" relationship and have gone to bed together (but not actually had sex) however he is currently claiming to like someone else and to have done so for a year and a half -we have known each other longer than this- (and from the way he talks about her, I believe him; although she doesn't know him or like him back.)Should I read anything into the "sibling request" or what? (I did accept it and in case this is in any way relevant he is not Facebook friends with the girl he claims to be in love with so it isn’t some distorted attempt to get a reaction from her.):-/

However the person doing the listing will automatically be listed on your page depending on their Facebook gender after you've confirmed.

Am I right in thinking that if your gender on facebook is listed as male, you automatically can't be listed as anything female?
Technology baffles me sometimes.
