writes:hi!there is this guy i love and i think he cares abt me too..i hope he does..well a couple of days back,he asked me for a walk,and i said yes.we walked quite close but not touching,and he talked very little during the walk..i am wondering..why did he ask me for a walk at all if he didnt want to talk?and just last night,he gave me a call in the middle of the night and said he wanted me to hear some song on his cd,he was in the car..and after listening to it,he asked me if i liked it..and then said goodnight and bye...leaving me more confused than ever..the biggest punch here is that the guy is 11 yrs older than me..i dont know what to think?thx for answering Reply to this Question

reader, anonymous, writes (2 September 2008): When it comes to talking, women are much better equipped than men. Men don't feel the need to be constantly talking. Having said that, he sounds nervous about making any move towards you and was quite happy just to have you near him. I find it difficult to talk to someone about almost nothing, or trying to invent some stimulating conversation until finding a subject on common ground that both find interesting. Maybe he's the same.
If there's a next time, initiate some conversation to get him to open up - and grab hold of his hand which will reassure him that you're interested in him. If you love him that shouldn't be difficult!

 Although his anctions are confusing, he may just be in a state where he enjoys your company here and there. It'd explain the walk. That he enjoys walking with you, not necessarily talking to enjoy himself.

sounds to me like this guy really does like you but is very shy,also he might be worried about the age gap between you as 11yrs can be a big difference.maybe if you try and talk to him about your feelings and maybe he might find it easier to open up to you.hope this helps xx
