I don't need an explanation of that but why could i not look away when someone was looking at me and held my gaze for around 8-10 seconds, no words just gazing. I couldn't have looked away even if i wanted to! Why would someone want to hold eye contact for that long. The only reason we both looked away is because someone said something, and then we both looked away to that person! Otherwise i suspect we would still be doing it now! lol. There was only three of us in the room. And as soon as i had walked in that's when the gazing began. It has been playing on mind for ages. Why could I not look away?A bit of background. We know each other. It wasn't just a random scene.ThanksA very confused person. Reply to this Question Share |

It's well known that eye contact is the most effective way of communication between humans, either used to convey hostility or interest... So unless he was giving you a death stare, I think it's pretty sure that prolonged intense gaze between you two is surely a great sign :) How romantic! :) wish you we'll :) (Unless he has eye/ social problem like mark said)

I look at people's face pretty intently, not because I fancy them but because I lip-read, or rather "whole-face-rad". My hearing is quite sucky 80% hearing loss in one ear and maybe 50-60% in the other.
I do think that people TEND to "stare" at people they find attractive or are curious about.
I wouldn't overthink it though.

Women ogle me - for protracted periods of time - because I'M SO DARNED HANDSOME!!!!
Perhaps if you and I were in the same place... we'd do the same. (I'm assuming that YOU are pretty darned cute, yourself!!!!!).....
Keep on staring!!!......

Either you both fancy each other or he has an eye problem or poor social skills.
