Why can't I make her happy?

A male Canada age 41-50, *aralyzed writes:

Took her to dinner and a movie on Friday night. She stayed at my place on Saturday night. I picked her up, helped her pack her bag. We were getting a snowstorm that night and the next day. I tended on her hand and foot. Cooked for her, got her snacks and beverages. Treated her like a queen. Shovelled my own driveway while she drove my car to pick up a gift bag. Gave her money for that. I rushed to get ready to go to her Aunts for a birthday dinner for her uncle. I didn't want to go, but did. Afterwards, I went to her place and cleaned the snow out of her driveway. I spent the night. I went to her place again last night. I didn't cuddle her right away, and she was in a bad mood. While we were talking I made fun of something she said that came out funny. I was just being playful, I was in a good mood. She immediately told me how hurtful I was in making fun of her. And that I was doing it in a mean way. She gave me the cold shoulder for the rest of the night. Slept on the edge of the bed. So, uncomfortable for the rest of the night. Always on pins and needles. Now this morning she texted me about how sorry she was. But then, an hour later she texts me asking about my upcoming ski trip, wanting to know what girls are going etc.... This crap is getting old. She is making me miserable.

Hi, I'm so sorry that you feel that way. It's totally AMAZING what you did for her! I'm a girl, and I think that it's your desicion, but if she keeps treating you that way, and makes you miserable, you should consider breaking up with her.... Sorry, but you seem nice, and u should be happy (Not treated that way.) but i'm just giving my opinion. Does that help??

So you've been dating for a week, and she is showing her colours already.

Just because you treat someone like a queen doesn't make her into one. It just makes them a psycho with a good life.

If she is turning out to be the hyper-sensitive possessive and clingy type already then end it now.

You sound like a nice guy and the right girl will love the fact you are a caring kind gentleman, this girl will just expect it and more.

There is a point where you stop being generous and forgiving and start being a doormat. Don't cross that line.

Good Luck!! xx
