reader, anonymous, writes (17 May 2009): I really hate this female maturity discussions. The commonly accepted views on this are biased against males. The teenage boy has got to be the least respected combination out of all ages/genders.
I see teenage girls maturing earlier than boys by a couple of years. Like 2 or 3 years tops, not this 15yo-and-24yo stuff.
I only see the maturity as being physical. I have never seen anything to make me think teenage girls are one bit more mature than teenage boys mentally and emotionally.

 Its definetely because women mature faster than men .. and men in their age are not mature enough for them, and so they look for someone lil older. It has been always like that for many many years ...
Now ... older men look for younger women for many reasons. Either they are going through middle age chrisis and they need to prove to themselves they are still hot and wanted or again its all just a normal thing ... nature made it this way.
As someone here said .. look at apes ... same thing !
I think it will be always like that for another milion years .. lol

 I don't know why older guys are attracted to younger woman, because I'm not a guy.
But I know why younger woman are attracted to older guys. It's simply because the older guys are more mature than the ones that are the same age as the woman.
I'm currently a freshmen in high school. I've never had a crush on someone who was the same age as me. I always had crushes on somebody who was older than me. It could range from a 50 year old difference, to a 1 year difference.
We like mature men! They treat us like a real lady, unlike younger(immature) guys.

I'm not sure...but women mature faster than men do so many times it seems men a few years older have the same maturity as women a few years younger.
