Why are my orgasms not as powerful as they were when I was younger?

Question - (29 September 2008) 4 Answers - (Newest, 3 October 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have found in recent years that my orgasms are very faint, and last only a second or 2. I remember when I was younger that orgasms were much stronger and I could feel them all down my legs.

They were never longer than a few seconds though (excluding build-up of course). I am 30. Has anyone else experienced this, or know how I can turn this around.

Thanks,

I hope something I said was able to help you out, In the reading I did I found a lot to do with hormones and stuff like that affecting orgasms. but also I have recently learned that injuries or stomache surgeries can have massive affects on the ability to orgasm and the strength. I was supprised to find out that even a spinal injury can affect it. there are so many different things that I learned in looking this question up. I was just so curious. But for some reason women seem to be at higher risk for this stuff then men, or so it seems.

Maybe try birth control pills? the added hormones might help. I really hope this is rare and doesnt' happen to all women!!! But I guess other women your age could give you better answers than I can.
