A female age , anonymous writes:

I have been with my boyfriend for many years and now have a child but do not live together. He makes me feel incompetent as he has never eaten with us or my cooking. He is a vegetarian and we eat meat. I have no idea of the types of food he likes and feel totally useless as a women. How can I be thinking of this guy marrying me if this is how he makes he feel.

I actually find him offensive as in the pass I have cooked and he has always refuse my food. He comments on how good it smells but will not eat it. I am a very clean person and keep the house and the kitchen as hygenic as possible.

I have even thought of asking him to cook with us but I am afraid if the answer. Because our relationship is not going anywhere we have not been intimate for over a year.

I have just planned a holiday and hope to use this time to talk to him. He has not booked yet.

Any advice!

Jayney Y agony auntHi,

If you haven't been intimate for over a year, he hasn't booked his holiday, and he wont even sit and have a meal with you, I'd be thinking about moving on if I were you. I am a vegetarian, and believe me, it does not stop you from taking part in meals with other people, you just cook your own food and still sit down with everyone else and eat. His actions are speaking loudly and clearly. Perhaps he feels obligated to be around for the sake of your child, but,(sorry to be brutal), it sure doesn't sound like he wants a future with you. Besides, if someone makes you feel bad about yourself, then you don't need that person in your life, there's better people out there who won't find fault with you. Good luck with it. :)
