A dear friend has just told me that she has eight weeks to live (medical prognosis) and of course I will visit, etc. She’d like that, she said. What I’m wondering is, how to decide who to tell. Most specifically, a very good friend of ours whom if I’ve seen more recently than she has. I’m worried it might be too much, or too private to tell this friend, but if I don’t I might regret it later. She’s an extremely nice friend but extremely busy and with her own pressures. Please help me figure out whether to inform her or not?????Thank you! Reply to this Question Share |

It's not for you to share.
Your sick friend can PICK and CHOOSE who she wants to tell and whom she doesn't.
I'm sorry that your friend is in this situation.

It's your friend's news to share or not as she sees fit. You could tell her that you will not mention it to anyone unless she wants you to.
