reader, anonymous, writes (17 July 2006): Suffice it to say, your current boyfriend has had his turn. I think it's time to take the new guy for a test-drive. The two of you already act like you're dating, you both like each other, and, well, you're still young! Have fun while you can. Well, that's what I would do anyway, but what I would do isn't always the best idea, haha. Maybe you should make a couple lists of things you like about each of these guys. Who makes you smile more? Who makes you laugh more? Who is, overall, better for you? It can be really confusing to have to choose between two guys, so go with your gut instinct here. I think you know which way it's leaning.
I also find that this is a helpful, but kind of strange, tactic. Find a coin. Decide that if the coin lands on heads you will choose your current boyfriend, and if the coin lands on tails you will pick the new guy. Flip the coin up in the air, catch it and keep it covered. What do you REALLY hope it will be? Heads or tails? Regardless of what the coin says, you know what you really want.
