Hi,

Im a 22 year old who is in a good relationship with a 36 year old. age gap aside.........

before we got together we were friends for a whole year. we shared a bed occasionally and sometimes got frisky but didnt have sex. meanwhile i was on and off with my ex.....by on and off i mean i slept with him.

i never thought me and my current boyfriend would get together, but we have done after a year of friendship. should i tell him i was having sex with my ex in that time period? am i right to feel guilty? i asked him when *he* thinks we got together as a couple properly and it was after the last time me and my ex had sex, so technically..............

am i out of order??

my wife did a similar thing to me when we were getting together. she had sex with a bloke the day before we had sex for the first time. she told me a few days later what she had done, i just laughed and made a joke of it but deep down felt hurt (i had gone out with her the day before she had sex with this man though).

in my opinion don't tell him unless this man is likely to be around, then you have to warn your now boyfriend.

Toria agony auntI don't see why you should come forward with this information, like you said he says he sees you two as getting together after the last time you slept with your ex so before that time you was a single girl sharing the company of your now boyfriend but then just friends.

Coming forward with this information now might interfer in your relationship even though you wasn't cheating or doing anything wrong at the time.

When it comes to it you are the one that is living with this information and only you know really what feels right to you to do regarding this.

Good luck :o)

TasteofIndia agony auntI don't think you've done anything wrong. I can see how you'd feel guilty, but you weren't in a relationship with your current boyfriend when you were seeing your ex. Your current boyfriend doesn't think you two were actually together until after you were finished with your now exboyfriend.

So I don't think he'll be upset. You weren't cheating. I think your guilt is commendable - it's very sweet.

If it really bothers you, tell him. But I don't think you NEED to, you didn't do ANYTHING wrong.

Love,

India
