writes: Hi, i'd like some advice on this please.I have been offered two Au Pair jobs in Spain, and i'm not sure which one to take. I'll tell you about both, and see what you think. One is in Pontevedra in Northern Spain. I have seen photos of the family and the house they live in, and the photos are lovely. They said i would take the kids to school and to after school activities, but I wouldn't have to do housework. They said sometiems on the weekends they go hiking.I'm not used to hiking, so i'm not sure if i would like that, but i suppose i could give it a try. They also said the mother and her friends soemtiems go to a spa, which i have also never done, but i'd like to try that. They also said they soemtiems go to a friends house. However they said i don't have to join them on activities, and i could do my own thing on my time off at the weekends if i wanted. The only problems are that i think it rains there, i'm not sure how often or how bad it is compared to the U.K, and i dont think there are any direct flights from Manchester. There are afew airports i could arrive at. I think i would need to fly from london but i'd need to see if i can afford it as i would get two flights, and i'm not used to going to airports on my own.The kids in this family are a boy and a girl though, which could be better for me as the family in Barcelona have three boys, which might be abit more difficult for me.With Barcelona, the flight goes there directly, and i think the weather is usually nice there. The kids seem to like the same music and films that i like too. I need to read about the activities i can do there though if i can find some information online. With this family, they require some housework though, such as vacumming and tidying up. Both families also wantme to help them improve their English, and both will help me learn Spanish. I havent found out the salary for the family in Barcelona yet, but the other family would pay me 75 Euros. The family in Barcelona have also said i can spend Christmas and some other holidays in the U.K, but the family in Pontevedra haven't mentioned anything about me visiting the U.K yet.I think thats all the information i have on them.If i've missed anything out i'll add it.
