I want the piercing to help improve stimulation and improve my sex life. I read of the different types; horizontal vs vertical vs triangle and I'm still unsure. I have a history of getting infections from too much sex but at the moment my sex life is rare and infrequent. Which piercing would help me out and would not prove a problem years down the road? Don't worry I'll pick an experienced professional to do such a fragile task.

The sensations are very pleasurable and are different with each change of jewellry. Keep changing your jewellry and take it out sometimes for sex - the changes in sensation are what really makes this the best piercing.
Make sure you pick an experienced professional to do the job and keep it clean with an antibacterial liquid soap until healed. You will have fun!!

Granted, I don't have one myself (experience with ten other holes in my body, though), but I do have a friend who can honestly say that within a day or so, she couldn't feel it at while walking and riding a bike. (Also it does indeed help a lot with sensation and things :P.) Because there's so much blood flow in that area, it heals a lot faster than most other piercings - I know there's been one answer about navel piercings, but they left out the fact that navel piercings are known to be one of the hardest and most annoying piercings to heal. Whereas VCHs are, according to nearly everyone who has them, by far the easiest.
Aaaaanyway you probably knew all that, just hoping that other people would realise that genital piercings are not just pain and ickiness. But please just make sure to say you want the hood pierced... not the actual clitoris, like you said in your question. That would probably be as painful as it sounds. :S

I don't think genital piercing is a good idea. You'd be prone to infections and get bruised down there. It would be majorly uncomfortable and could even damage your clitoris. I don't even think it would serve your purpose.

I once got my belly button pierced. Biggest pain in the ass I ever did. My clothes hung up on it. Everytime my husband would sweep his hand over my stomach, his finger would catch it and let me tell you, that was not a nice sensation. So given that experience I can't imagine what it would feel like to have my clit pierced. I think it would be the worst place to get one. I think about how it would rub against the folds when you're walking or sitting down. That would be torture not pleasure. Then again for some people pain is part of the excitement. No thanks.
