My mom wants me to get the shot but my grandma says it'll make me gain weight and in my opinion, I would hate that, But my mom says it stops periods completely sometimes and really helps. My grandma wants me to get the pills but my mom says when she was on birth control, it didn't keep her from getting pregnant. My mom thinks I want birth control only for my heavy periods and pains but the truth is, I need them so my boyfriend and I don't become expected parents. So my question is, if any women/girls that've had birth control, which do you think is better? The shot or the pills? Any advice is helpful:)

Here's thie thing there is no Top notch birth control, every one of them are different. Mine is Levora. it helps with minor acne, and i have a 3 day period that is REALLY easy to handle and it happenes the same time each month- (thank god!). Completly stopping your period can result in some really bad things- causing cancerous factors and such. The bad thing about pills is having to remember them everyday-- But think of it this way when you want to complain about taking them everyday: "Do i really want to wake up as a parent so early?" Thats how i think of it. Be carful what you choose, most can cause high blood pressure and such. Good luck! =)
