A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Dear Cupid

I met this lad at college and we hit it off right away and became really close but we are both really shy so none of us had the guts to ask each other out, so we just stayed friends but then we started drifting apart and hardly spoke for a while.

Then one day he text me sayin "what happened to us, why dont we speak anymore" and so we started speaking again and became really close once again and we started flirting with each other and i last week my friend was about to ask him out for me when she found out he has got a girlfriend and he says that he never knew i liked him.

i still really want to be with him and his friend has told me that he is only going out with this girl for the sake of having a girlfriend, but where does that leave me?

any comments would be appreciated thanxs xxx

Well, he knows you like him now, doesn't he? So if he really REALLY likes you, he'll dump the girl he's with and ask you out. If he doesn't....then he really wasn't in to you in the first place. It's his move.
