don't worry this all sounds very normal! have you been getting any other symptoms? (cramps etc) even if you haven't, it sounds like your period has started. you should talk to someone about it (it doesn't have to be your mum.....any family member or friend) and get some sanitary towels/tampons asap. periods aren't fun at all but you'll soon get used to it :)

Have you been having cramps? They feel similar to a bad stomach ache. Since you're having brown discharge it sounds like you have definetly started your period. Maybe it's time to make a doctor's appointment if you're really unsure.

Hello, yes this is perfectly normal and yes it does sound like your periods have started. Let your mum know and ask her to buy you some sanitary towels. Your periods maybe a little bit irregular at first as your body is still altering and if you get bad tummy cramps a hot water bottle on your tummy and some paracetamol always helps.

Don't worry about it. Ask a friend if thats more comfortable. Older sister?! Aunt?!
