Although he did not officially ask me to be his girlfriend until valentines day (feb 14th), we were exclusive and easily considered bf and gf long before that. The problem is that he leaves this january to go study abroad in so we wont be able to celebrate our 1 year on valentines day as planned. I suggested october 12th to him but he said thats too soon, so he said we should split the difference and do it on december 14th. The problem with that is that it is during finals week so we wont have time to celebrate. This year has been the most memorable year of my life, and the time i've spent with him is so incredibly special to me. I don't just want to overlook our 1 year, so when should we celebrate!? I was really hoping to find a special day to us and not just a random day but i guess we dont have too many choices, please help! Thanks! Reply to this Question Share |

I would go with October 12th - you said you have been exclusive since then so that is the date that makes most sense.
I hope this helps and good luck!

Well my bf and I started talking and going out on friendly dates in like early June and but he asked me to be his gf the day of his bday on August 14th and we made it all public with family and friends in late September, but we both agreed to have our anniversary on June 28 because that was actually our first date and we were together after that. So i would take to him about the October date again and tell him that if you guys have actually been together sine then, then its really been a year. My bf and I did the exact same thing we did on our first date! its romantic and we laughed about how nervous we both were that first day! try it! it could be fun ;)ps. Congrats! That is a milestone in my opinion :)
