When would be the safest time of the month for us to do this (and I ejaculate inside her). I know no time is 100% safe but I know that it's much less likely to happen certain times in the cycle (rhythm method). This would be the only time we do it, afterwards always with a condom.

We are both clean and know there's a risk but aren't too worried about it. Realistically, the chances aren't all that high. It turns out she started her period and expects to be done around the 31... So we're shooting for the New Year :)

You want to make it "special"??
Sorry but that is crap. There is no way she is going to be able to relax and enjoy it knowing that this 3 minutes could ruin her life forever.
Get over yourself and use a condom.
If you are really desperate to spread some disease then go and get her on the pill.
Are you really this stupid?
Good Luck!! xx

In the meantime, if you've had other sexual partners before this, consider getting tested for STD's - if you haven't already. Even if you think you are clean, you may not be. Frequently the first sign that a guy has a STD is that his girlfriend develops symptoms :P

Using a condom is your best bet to avoid pregnancy, however according to statistics, a woman ovulates 14 days after the 1st day of her period. For example: if her period STARTS on the 1st of the month she will ovulate on the 14th.. And be fertile for aproximatly 72 hours.. 3 days. I would say immediatly after her period ends.. A day or 2, would be the safest. Sperm can survive for several days in the vagina and uterus, so if you cut it too close, say the 11th or 12th, even though she hasn't ovulated yet, the lil guys may be active when she does. A spermacide can also help. You can buy it at any drug store or walmart. It is a gel that she inserts into the vagina, similar to a tampon. It kills the sperm on contact. Hope this helped.. Good luck

Why don't you go to Planned Parenthood or your doctor, get a check up and set up for birth control. The birth control will kick in 8 hours later and you can make every time extra special because you'll be having sex safe and protected.
It really won't take very long. Make an appointment for Monday or Tuesday morning and by that evening you can be having the most exciting, romantic and sexy night of your life.

If you do not want your girlfriend to get pregnant, then use a condom. If you do not want to risk giving your girlfriend a sexually transmitted disease (STI's), use a condom. Sex is special because of the interaction and pleasure between two people and a condom will not change this.
You say this is your girlfriends first time and I wonder how old she is and if this is her view or yours? The sex won't be special because she will be worried about getting pregnnant or catching an STI, which you don't seem to be concerned about.
Use a condom or organise alternative contraception, making sure that you are both tested for STI's first. It is not about the time of the month. You are of an age where you frankly should know better.
