reader, anonymous, writes (15 November 2010): When you say its an affair I am understanding that you are both single people who were more of a friends with benefits situation. If that is the case I would just tell him next time or remind him that it is casual and if it changes he needs to let you know up front. If by chance you are with a person who is married or your married then I would end it immediately and get out of the current relationship you are in honorably and with integrity. No relationship should come at the cost of others or of you. Being able to control a situation no matter what it is, is the responsibility of an adult. So no matter what it is if its moving too fast you have to convey that to your partner its part of that communication thing people always talk about! Good Luck!
