A male United States age 30-35, *geek writes:

hey my gf and I (I'm 18 she's 15)just started going back out about 10 days ago. Before then in January we went out for a month then broke up because we wanted to get to know each other better. and from then till now we have developed into best friends. Over that time I developed strong feeling for her. and apparently her I since it was her that asked me back out. But I have built up extremely strong feeling for her and I truly think I love her....

Like over this weekend I attended "Acquire the Fire" and she totally helped me accepted Christ and I cried like right in front of her...she knew I was....she was holding my hand....only girl that has ever seen me cry be4 and probably the only one that I will ever be comfortable with having seen that.....I just have strong feeling for her and such a huge trust and comfort.

When is it probably ok for me to tell her that I love her....as in how long into our relationship......so that I don't like freak her out.....

Nikkii Babyee agony aunthey! i think the fact that yous have developed into best friends is part of the reason that u love her so much! i think id wait a wee while to see what happens cuz some girls do get really freaked out when a guy says they love them especially at 15! i think you should sit on your feelings a while and in a month or so if you still feel as strongly tell her and keep tellin gher because she could just as well feel the same about you :)

A reader, anonymous, writes (28 April 2008):

I would sit with your feelings for awhile. You have just been through an emotional thing accepting Christ into your life and you are filled with love from that experience.

Your girlfriend may feel a bit pressured if after only a month or two you are telling her you love her. Be her friend, and continue building your relationship, you will know when the time is right as you will feel her love for you coming from her and sense that she is ready for your declaration of love.

It is sweet that you have such a close relationship with her....I wish you well.
