I do try to keep myself in good shape but do get exhasuted with looking after my relative. But when I do start dating again how do I go about it? It seems i have lost some confidence in myself. I am a but frightended of online dating.

reader, anonymous, writes (27 April 2011): I sympathize with you, caring for a sick person long-term has a huge impact on your life! It would seem though that if you have time for dating later, you would have time to join different social activities that might help you meet dates. I found that my social skills deteriorated a lot when I cared for a sick relative full-time (actually am still doing that), so I understand about the decrease in confidence, but when I took a break and spent time with friends I bounced back pretty quickly. I guess try to find things to keep yourself vibrant!
I can't offer any advice about online dating as I've never tried it.
All the best, take it one day at a time...
