well i fell pregnant whilst i was on the patch( a similar contraceptive) and i knew straight away. teh tiredness came first, then hte sore boobs both of these i ognored thinking i couldnt possiblt be pregnant. then came the severe sickness which wouldnt go away. i knew then that i was pregnant. as for the bleeding i was in and out of hospital my whole pegnancy with it as i was rhesus negative aswell. so if you still ahve your period dont assume you not pregant it looks exactly the same down to teh cramps and everything that goes with it. i also thought it was rare until i was caught out. my suggestion is get a test straight away because if you are pregnant you will have to come of the pill. hope this helpos you out. rachael xx

Hi Yuna,
If you're on the pill and think you're pregnant, then it would be the same symptoms as if you weren't on the pill. Here's a website that lists the signs that you might be pregnant:
http://parenting.ivillage.com/pregnancy/pfirsttri/topics/0,,4rq3,00.html
As for your second question, it is still possible to bleed while you're pregnant, but it's not the same thing as having a period - just looks like it.
I suggest getting a pregnancy test. If it's positive, you will need to make a doctor appointment to find out what to do next.
Take care.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 December 2006): If your pill had a break for a period then its possible that you could still have a period even if you were pregnant.
the symptoms to look out for are :
Tender , heavy feeling Breasts.
Feeling sick especially in the mornings or after eating.
and your periods may have stopped too.
If you are worried that you might be pregnant the best thing to do is stop taking the pill as it may harm an unborn baby and get to see your doctor straight away.
Or you could just do a pregnancy test to find out even faster.
good luck, let me know if I can help you further.
