writes: A few years ago I had my first crush on a girl. I did tell her I liked her but I got nowhere. However, I still liked her and right now I like her as a person and not someone I would like to date.My problem is that I have never been inspired to work hard and my life is in disarray because of my attitude. Most of the people I knew are living much better lives than me and currently have brighter futures than I do. The girl I liked is schooling in America and she is doing very well for herself. I want to become friends with her but I don't feel good enough to talk to her because of the difference in our lives and potential. I want to become someone that she could be proud to know and be her friend but I am not sure of what I can do. I want to turn my life around for the better but I don't know what steps to take aside from working out, learning new skills (programming and playing a musical instrument) and academics. What's a good way to become focused and determined to succeed?
