hey all. i hear that starving yourself makes u only lose water so what i want to know is what happens if i go on a water-only-diet? wil i lose the kilos? im 90kgs and i wud like to be 50 by the end of may. please help

i am 13 and i am so trying to loose weight i am 9 stone and 5ft 4 i really want to wear a bikini by august and to look nice. so at the moment i am drinking 3 bottles of water a day, eating a banana and an apple for breakfast, an apple and a pear for lunch, snacking on nuts and dried fruit, and eating a pot noodle (dont ask why) for my dinner, i am running for an hour every night and i am always on one of the three exercise machines in my house. and to be honest i feel like s*** even though i have lost 8lb in a 9 days. i just want to know whether there is anything else i can do??? i just want to be thin i would extremly happy to be a size 8 !!!! xx

Only drinking water is unhealthy! you will feel terrible, have no energy etc. and when you start to eat again, you will probably just put weight back on!

I am loosing weight at the moment and i recommend my methods!

i've stopped eating foods that are rich in sugar and fat. like chocolate and fast food.

and i eat a lot in the morning and less as the day goes on.

and never eat before sleeping.

and try to eat only 1500 calories per day.

The important thing is that im still getting all the vitamins minerals and nutritional components as possible!

I've already lost a lot of weight this way! try it!

Doesn't sound like much of a diet, and as it says itself, it a slow process. It prescribes eating your normal food, just making sure you drink enough simple water (2 liters/half a gallon is a bit on the high side especially for a woman but if you lead an active life it can be what your body needs)

No way in hell that you are going to loose 40kg with this in one month.

So are you suggesting something more radical? Drinking only water and no food?

Basically, the only way I can imagine loosing that much weight in so short a time is likely to cause serious harm to your body even to the point of dying.

Eat right, drink right, excersise and no unrealistic goals, that works and nothing else.

Also your body will think it's being starved and cling onto every calorie is has. When you start eating again you will turn it STRAIGHT into fat just in case you start starving again.

If you want to lose weight then eat lots and lots of HEALTHY things and do exercise. Drink more water by all means as it will help flush the fat out as your body breaks it down to use during exercise.

But you have to EAT as well or your body will just break down.

have you ever heard of starving to death? It takes about 3 weeks of not eating food to die.

Please dont do this. You cannot loose 40kg in a month, im sorry but its not possible.

this is foolish, you should be eating like 6 times a day with portions no bigger than the palm of your hand. plenty of vegetables, fruits and lean protein (turkey, chicken breast, fish) no carbs (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes) and watch how you drop the weight. eat at least every three hours your metabolism will race and you will lose weight
