The good old fashioned art of being a gentleman always works because so few guys are these days.
Hold the door, always let them through first, offer to carry any heavy bags they have.
I'm sure you know the rules.
If you like a girl and are flirting with her then when you say goodbye, kiss her hand. It doesn't have to be a big, down on one knee dramatic thing (that might be a bit over the top) but just casually take her hand, lift it up and kiss it while looking into her eyes right before you say bye and go.
If a guy did that to me at your age I'd be putty in their hands.

For me personally, a guy that I'd consider sweet is a guy that shows he cares about me, calls just to say "I love you", hugs me, Holds/Cuddles with me, kisses me, listens to me, when nobody else does and actually cares if I'm upset, tells me I'm beautiful and acts himself around me. And, not all girls think guys are sweet only if they buy them gifts. Gifts are nice but they aren't everything.

 Boys just need to show that they care, that they want the girl to be happy, that he is listening. This can be anything from little compliments (my boy doesn't tell me I'm beautiful often enough because he thinks I know it when it's just nice to hear!!), forehead kisses, zipping up sweaters when it's cold outside...
Let's see. Here are some especially cute things boys have done for me in the past:
- Brought me a sunflower (my favorite) at midnight to brighten my day when I was feeling down (high school)
- Arranged a spontaneous trip to the beach for the two of us (high school, for our anniversary)
- Brought me a cup of coffee late at night when I was pulling an all nighter writing papers (college, and there were no 24 hour coffee shops in town so he had to drive pretty far away to get one)
- Took me shopping, and paid (high school and college)
- Took me out to nice dinners (college)
- Went stargazing (high school and college)
- Went on a romantic weekend getaway (college)
- Wrote me love notes (high school, I had so many of them!)
- Came over and studied with me (college - I got an A on that paper and I wrote all 9 pages the night before)
- Bought me a huge teddy bear (high school... a penguin the size of my body!)

females are (for the most part) very into the idea that they are fat, ugly, whatever. you just need to say that she is pretty, wonderful, whatever you think is right. my girl is, as i call her, "My Pretty Lady". i call her it all the time. there are so many chances for us guys to say something to the ladys to make them think we are sweet. like right now as im typing this me and my girl are watching tv and she said this modle (watching some stuipd girl thing about clothes) is very pretty in that dress, told her i thought she was prettier than that girl and i got a kiss and a ahh your so sweet. its not hard. good luck

Well I'd have to say if I would call aguy sweet or something like that ummmm he would have to just be himself unless himself is an asswhole!! But a guy who would reminds me that he loves me! And makes me laugh , and hugs me and makes you feel important;)
