He has a little girl from his wife who sadly passed away four years ago. I love taking her out shopping and I do all sorts with her like ice skating and swimming. She appears to really like me and we really clicked. It was important that we both got along for my boyfriend as we now live together. When I was looking after her waiting for my boyfriend to get home, she showed me something she had found in daddy's bedroom, which was an engagement ring. Which means sometime in the near future he is going to propose. I haven't told him I know, but I'm worried about what his little girl will think if we get married? Thanks.

First of all I would try not to assume anything with that ring, could be from an old flame, or even his wife. Nevertheless, how was her reaction when she found it, or did you cover up that it could have been for you? I think that's a conversation that he needs to have with her when he's ready, to determine whether the family is ready for you to be part of their family officially.
