christmas is coming, and i can't think of what to get my girlfriend.

we have been dating for fifteen months, we are 22 years old, and we live together. i have done a great job with gifts in the past, for last christmas, valentine's day, her birthday, our one year anniversary, etc... each time i think i improved on the previous gift. they were all very thoughtful and memorable gifts, and the ideas came pretty easily to me.

but now it's christmas and i have no idea what to do this time!!!

any suggestions? or any gift idea website suggestions? (i don't really want to do jewelry, already gave her a necklace and bracelet)

thanks!

TasteofIndia agony auntIthaca Chris - seeing you post is always such a little thrill for me, since Ithaca is my all time favorite place.

Get her season tickets to a playhouse. If you are still in Ithaca, best gift I ever got was season ticks to Kitchen Theater, but Hangar is good as well. Giving her season tickets (2 to each show), means a whole seasons worth of hot dates out!

Perfume? I recommend Dior- Pure Poison.

A trip maybe? Or a spa weekend? What kinds of things does she like? Movies/music/sports/hobbies, you can always get a couple of medium, meaningful presents instead of one big one...

thanks everyone -

as for the ring - too much symbolism behind that. the first ring i buy her will be an engagement ring, if/when i'm ready.

as for clothes - she has wayyyyyy too many already.

as for the log cabin - we are already basically spending xmas at a log house in the woods in new england with snow and roasting fires. it's my uncle's house, but still....

to blondiegirl:

hard to say, a painting? something to frame? my GF's favorite city is belfast so i found an old, old map of belfast and framed it - it was perfect, so something like that?

does he like music? reading? one of the best gifts i got was a bunch of CDs and books - sounds silly and unromantic, but a lot of thought went into picking them on her part, and all i need is some new music to make me happy.

petina1 agony auntI'll bet if you buy her a ring she will be over the moon. Young women like rings. Or if you feel threatened by this, buy her a gold chain for her neck with a locket on so she can keep a photo of you there. hope this helps.
