 The fact that you say yourself "I don't wanna go back to the past" is answering your own question. Even though you may still have strong feelings towards him, you obviously know yourself that going back would not be right for you, and from my experience, going back to an ex never works out. See how things go with your current boyfriend =)

 i have the same exact problem as you.it is sooo hard to get over someone who you actually really love.i tried a lot more then you have and to tell you the truth nothing helps. i haved tried everything but i still hurt really bad inside.heartbreak is the most painful thing in the world.but if you really love him then you should try again.me and me ex broke up 6 times and got back 2gether 5 times.now its over for good and i stil cant stop thinking about him no matter what.now if you love your previous boyfriend a lot too,then think who you love more.and plus if you and your ex both want each other back then go for it.at least your ex wants you back unlike mine.my ex doesnt wanna even be friends with me or ever talk to me again.at least yours does and you can talk to him.but if you dont snag him now then sum1 else will and itll b too late for you
