A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

please help me! i only have a few hours to figure this out:

i want to get my teacher a thank you present, because i never was at all interested in the subject he teaches before i had him; he made it fun for me. he's a great teacher and has been very kind to me this year.

anyway, i want to get him something so i can thank him. nothing big or weird... maybe even something homemade? just something. i want to show my appreciation.

my last day's tomorrow. any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

SirenaBlusera agony auntI gave one of my professors a picture I made just for him (a charcoal picture). He was one of my favorite profs, he made the school year really special for us.

Kalyov agony auntThis kind of depends on the policy of your school.

I gave my band director a tie with music notes on it once. I am sure your teacher will appreciate it a lot.

A female reader, TasteofIndia United States +, writes (24 June 2009):

TasteofIndia agony auntI have heard from teacher after teacher that the most meaningful gift you can give them is a letter telling them how much they helped you grow as a student. That they really influenced your learning and how great of a teacher he is. Knowing that he made a huge difference will mean the world to him! If you want to throw in Satindesire's suggestion of homemade cookies, well then you are just going to make his day!!

Good luck, my dear!
