I already have lots of hobbies and not really time for any new ones (or actually any interests I don't already follow). Unfortunately they don't seem to attract many females (or no single ones) so the chance of me 'bumping into someone' or meeting someone through these hobbies is unlikely (which is a shame as it means there is at least one common thing). So I looked online at internet dating and unfortunately I have hit a huge problem, which is that I have never had the desire to have children. Never have (I am now 36) and I know this is not going to change. About 95% of the women in my area on the various dating sites already have children or have ticked the "wants children" box. This left, on one site, just 12 profiles - down from 842! Aside from not finding them attractive (and I might not be to them), there were no common interests.I cannot bear the thought of being alone for years but that's all I can see at the moment. What other options are there?

I don't know what to tell you, except to suggest that you try more than one dating site - if you haven't already.
E-harmony, after you fill out a very detailed, lengthy questionnaire will match you with women you'd be compatible with.
Another web site is Senior Friend Finder. Can't think of any others right now, but maybe some of the other aunts and uncles will have some ideas.
Good luck!
