Kinda like talking to a brick wall or someone who wants no bother. It like she gets serious all of a sudden, if I make her feel uncomfortable around other people she should tell me so that way she can do things with people who makes her happy in public or around her family. My whole thing is don't be happy and free when we are on the phone or chilling watching TV at the house and then turn on me like the weather and act like I embarrass you in the streets which I don't, I'm just being me and I'm not changing that for no one. Hi Bill, i guess she might be just getting conscious of people around her, when she is in a public place. She may have an inherent shyness, which might be preventing her from showing affection in public. In any case, if you are disturbed by her behavior, you could always ask her the reason for it. Explain her your viewpoint, get her response and then maybe you would be in a much better position to understand and work out a solution for this problem.
