What jobs can you do from home without major qualifications? Particularly in the UK, but any ideas welcome because you may think of some in the UK that don't spring to mind for others. I'm looking online too.

I'm unable to work full-time outside of my home due to long-term poor health and I'm hoping that working from home may help financially, once I can work again - like 2 days in work and 2 or 3 working from home at the same or different job. I've recently been signed off from any work indefinitely while I try to see doctors to improve it. This will likely take over a year because of waiting times - I can't afford to go private.

I would like to use this time to study online with something like The Open University, but I don't have any GCSE/A-Level/University qualifications, so it would need to be something not academic in the typical maths/science way. At my age, a job adviser has advised me to "specialise" in something instead of just getting the basics because it won't put me at an advantage.

I also don't have any savings or much money coming in, so I'll be looking into funding support for further education because it's often expensive - at least for someone with no money leftover after car payments and bills, though I thankfully live with my parents, so I'm not 100% responsible for every bill which helps, but they don't have any money to loan me.

I am passionate about my recent past jobs as a carer and dog trainer, but neither are things you can do from home or make enough money from doing at home (respectively). I also loved studying sign language for 3 years, but can't afford to do the next level, which is the minimum for sign language jobs and you also can't do that from home.

So, my main questions:

~ What jobs can you do from home? (UK)

~ What online qualifications, that would help lead to a job from home, are recognised and valid? (But not too expensive - I'd be extremely lucky to qualify for help paying for a £1,000-£1,500+ one, if they do it at all).

I have a work coach, but I don't see her very regularly, so I need to have ideas before I can take them to her for her advice on what they can and can't help with.

Many thanks in advance,,

M

have you considered technical support? im not in the UK so i cant say if there are many jobs but here in the states they are always looking for tech support. Dont worry if youre not tech savvy most of these entry level jobs are simple troubleshooting wich involves reading as script and looking up answers. Its the only thing I can think of that requires no particular skill. There are other ways of making money online if you have an eye for detail and dont mind taking a risk. Many people sell things at garage sales simply because theyre too lazy to make the effort to sell it, usually dirt cheap aswell so if you have access to a car im sure a hundred (pounds i guess or euros??) can get you a lot of crap in many G.S. and ebay offers a great platform for the second hand. I would stick to what you have a passion for or know about like clothes or jewerlry ive seen people make way more that 1000 dollars a week doing so, you simply have to care enought to put time into it, bargain because the worse that they can say is no and the best that could happen is you make a bigger profit and do you research. I hope I atleast sparked some ideas and i hope you find a job soon!
