writes: Okay, so I know none of you will be able to tell the answer to this question without seeing what I'm talking about and I will go and see the doctor anyway if it doesn't go away by itself but basically I have a tiny, pea-sized lump in my groin that I can feel but that you can't see by looking. It's hard and doesn't hurt and it doesn't move but doesn't seem to be attached to the bone either. My friend suggested it might be an ingrown hair but I was under the impression that they showed up as a red lump on the surface of your skin. Can any of you confirm or deny that? I only found it yesterday and if it's not gone by Monday I will go see my doctor but I don't want to bother her if it's just an ingrown hair so if any of you know what that's like please let me know! my dad ad that too and hes kept disappearin an showin up in other places so he went the doctors an they sed it wr a cist so it could b that but id get it checked anyway

reader, anonymous, writes (1 March 2007): go to the doctor to put your own mind at rest, but im very sure that it is a cyst. a blocked pore. i have one. down below. and its very hard and its pea sized. i can grab hold of it if you know what i mean. there is no hair above it but mine is definately a cyst. i managed to squeeze it the other night and a lot o stuff came out - yes i know it sound gross - sorry guys - but thats confirmed my worries. its been there for about five months and will probably never go away. but dont worry. its a very odd place to find a cancerous lump... but go to ur doc anyway, its always best to be safe rather than sorry.
