He's not particularly large and we always make sure I am really wet and we also use lubricant to try and help but the pain just wont go away. I never feel rushed into sex or as if I have to do it. I have no std's or infections and this is my only sexual partner ever. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens and how we can prevent it???

It sounds like some sort of infection to me and if that's the case it won't clear without antibiotics. I suggest you go and see your GP and ask them to have a look at it for you, it could be something really minor and will stop you worrying. If it IS an infection then it will only get worse unless it's treated with antibiotics.
