last night i had a dream with a dear friend of mine who passed away several months ago, in the dream i went to look for him at some building because he hadnt been in contact me in several weeks so i was upset at him, i found him and became really mad at him and started to cry because he didnt love me, in the dream i also saw his brother and his brothers wife, what does this dream mean? i have understood that its a way of coping with the loss but then my mother tells me that when you dream of someone who is dead it is because they want and need you to prey for them? what the truth to the meaning of my dream? what is there to prey? what do you ask god for?

A female reader, Plexi Canada +, writes (20 May 2010):

Plexi agony auntIt means that he still occupies your subconscious and that you miss him. You didn't have closer with his passing and perhaps you felt abandoned and are angry at him for "leaving you" so you manifested that in the form of your dream.

I suggest writing him a letter as if he was still alive and then another letter that acknowledges that he passed and say your good bye.

Hugs

Dreams have no meaning, and if there is an afterlife, which I kind of doubt, then dead people are the ones who should be praying for us poor people on this godforsaken rock.

That's just my opinion.
