I think you should almost certainly tell him. How seriously did you cheat on him?? I think good relationships should not have secrets like that from each other. xx

A male reader, RichardW United Kingdom +, writes (6 September 2007):

You should tell him the complete truth as soon as possible. I suspected my girlfriend of cheating on me and i couldnt trust her at all. When she finally told me that she had, we talked it through and i accepted it and we stayed together happily. Before we had talked it through it had been making both of us feel really bad but after talking about it we hav a much more open and trusting relationship. I suggest, the next time you talk to him, you tell him exactly what happened.

The sooner the better.

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 September 2007):

Don't tell him, just put it down to experience and deny all. Why do you have to tell him, to make yourself feel better. You won't! Believe me, just get on with your life and leave this in a part of the past that never gets spoken about. I won't tell.

Take care

A female reader, penta United States +, writes (5 September 2007):

penta agony auntDepends on why you're telling him. If it's just to clear your conscience, then suck it up and deal with the guilt. Don't hurt him just to get the forgiveness so you can feel better.

If it's to clear the air and work on the relationship, then you have to just suck it up and tell him. then try this: http://www.ehow.com/how_2040630_spouse-trust-again.html
