You don't need perfume to help a guy like you. Trust me, odds are if you ask a guy out to lunch or something like that, he is going to say yes. If you are shy, then be shy, don't try to be someone you aren't. I am extremely shy and awkward around people I first meet, and if someeone is genuinely interested in you, then they will look past that. Just be yourself, everything else tends to work itself out.

reader, anonymous, writes (26 March 2008): Although perfumes are very nice, it's all in the nose of the beholder, so to speak. Forget spending any money at the perfume counter for the time being. The natural smell of the female is probably the best pheromone ever invented, and is generally sufficient to attract the man of your dreams!
Just use a little un-perfumed soap and water for the time being and see what happens when you sidle up close to him.
On the other hand, just slip him a piece of paper with your number on it!
