You have a very good question. I thought I was ready to marry my ex-boyfriend until I realized I was in love with him and he was "in love" with me. He wasn't capable of truly loving me. He had personal issues and childhood experiences that he never got past. Your boyfriend must love himself before he can love you. If your boyfriend truly loves you he will put your feelings and happiness before his own or anyone else's. He will do anything is his power to see you happy. Not sometimes but MOST of the time. It's very important to step back and honestly ask yourself how often does he put you first and make you happy. If your answer is less than 80% there's a good chance he's not in love with you, or maybe not capable of loving you at this point in his life.
