This virtual number is used when you want someone to call you but you don't want them to know your real phone number. Why should any one want to do that beats me. I suggest you dial that number from your phone and see if your husbands phone rings. This digital craze is really going too far.

I didn't know what it was so I googled it.
"A Virtual Number is a dedicated phone number that can be used for SMS or MMS messaging, and belongs to only one account (unlike the SMSGlobal shared pool numbers). Think of a virtual number as your own special unique code that customers and employees can get to know you by, that no one else can send from."
I guess it's a way to give people your number without giving them your "real" number. So for business, a client can contact you on your personal phone but NOT have your personal number.
I also saw this:
"Configuring a mobile device can mean a lot of things. It could mean that someone is setting up the actual operating system on the hardware device so that it can run Android, iOS, etc. It could be your wireless carrier configuring the mobile device with a SIM card and wireless signal based on its serial numbers."
So if he has an Apple Product (aka phone) he can use this to use it like an android.
And this:
"Configuring a mobile device can mean a lot of things.
It could mean that someone is setting up the actual operating system on the hardware device so that it can run Android, iOS, etc.
It could be your wireless carrier configuring the mobile device with a SIM card and wireless signal based on its serial numbers.
Or it could be someone that is configuring the settings on the user-facing software so that it’s customized for their use.
It all depends on what you mean by “someone configuring a mobile device”."
Personally, I have no idea. I would just ask your hubby.

It's popular for travelers, or for business. In some cases, of course, some may have an egregious use for it.
If you're suspicious he's up to something, sooner or later you'll have to confront him about what you've discovered. May as well ask him straight-up for your own peace of mind. I assume you want to know if there is a way you can get into it to snoop into his messages? Prolly not, without his permission!
