Its a hen or stag night :D
Are the bride and groom to be having a joint party or have you been invited to the hen hight? I have been to one joint party and a couple of hen nights (the female party).
It varies what goes on at them. The joint party we started with a meal then had a disco and everybody got very drunk, and I did take a date along to that one after checking with the bride and grrom to be it was ok.
A hen night is usually a female only night. I've been to a couple where we have gone out and painted the town very red and gotten very drunk. I was at my mother's hen night the other week that was a complete contrat. It was a quiet night in without much alcohol (me being pregnant and all) and a load of girls having a laugh.
I would suggest you talk to the organiser of the night and ask what is going on that night and if you can bring your date or not.
