I would just like to ask for reference.

In your opinion, what is a good reason to be in love with someone.I'm asking because I've been thinking about this alot and I'm kind of stumped.

Like would one reason be the fact that the person that you are in love with makes you feel secure and safe and he/she makes you feel good about yourself and supports you in whatever you do, even when they don't agree with it?

Or maybe it is because you adore them and relate to them so well?

Help me out here? hahah

A male reader, idoneitagain Australia +, writes (12 September 2011):

I like the ideas you wrote on love, I would struggle to come up with something better myself :) Someone who makes you feel safe and secure, and good about yourself, and supports you, sounds like someone worth giving your love to and having a good relationship with.

It can help to think of love and relationships separately. The reason for this is that you might love someone, and someone might love you, but they might not treat you very well in your relatinship together. In that case, they can be someone you love, but not someone you want to have a relationship with.

Sometimes love doesn't have anything to do with reason, sometimes we just love certain people. It is always good to give love to people, but it is sometimes a harder decision to decide whether to have a relationship with someone or not, and that depends on how they treat us and make us feel. The reasons you give are a good way to tell if someone is worth having a relationship wtih, so they are a good benchmark.

Different people have different definitions of what love is, there is no set definitions. It is userful to hear other people's ideas, but because every person's idea of what love is is unique, it is most important that you are able to get in touch with what you think, as you have done, and to be able to live your life and conduct your relationships in that way.
