They have no idea if that is real or if it is just a memory of when things were happier but they are almost accepting of that and miss it all the same.
Advice, well it could go either way. There is a girl who that describes from my past. I met up with her in adult life and realised that my memories of her and the reality were very different things. Won't make me stop caring for them just knew I had to move on.
You see it is like highschool. For very few people it is incredible, but when we look back we remember it as some of the best days of our lives. We remember things with nostalgia. We forget about the the things that we didn't like and to our memories it becomes a time that we would love to go back to.
But for every story that ended the way it did for me I am sure there are those that ended better than that. Good luck.
