A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 March 2007):

it probably doesn't mean anything, we often dream about thing that we think alot about while we're awake, dreams we have just before we wake up our the dreams we are more likely to remember so it is probably just nothing to worry about, and it's isnt like it was a very long dream was it or something massive happened in it.

cd206 agony auntI think sometimes these things happen in our dreams as a way of saying goodbye to something that once meant an awful lot to us. When someone in my family dies I have a dream about them about a year later when they come to visit me but something gets in the way of me going to speak to them and then just as I am finally free to speak to them I wake up. It seems like a way of accepting things and knowing I'm ready to move on. You say you're with someone else now and you seem happy about that. Don't jeopardise it for the sake of a dream.
