reader, anonymous, writes (1 March 2010): Hmm, I guess I would be a little worried and insecure at first! But if they haven't had contact since, it is probably just a "random add" which means nothing. It is easy to find people you used to know on Facebook, and lots of people do add past friends, partners, workmates, etc. They don't necessarily have any contact with them though. I added a guy who I once had feelings for, but it was just nice to catch up on each other's lives, nothing more. We don't really speak at all now, but we are still friends on Facebook. I am over him, he is in a relationship...it's just a friendly thing.
So as long as you have no reason to suspect anything, and going by how your boyfriend has not contacted his ex since adding her, I personally don't think it is anything to worry about. x
