A female Ireland age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hey, I'd like some advice on interpreting a comment from a guy, please. I've been seeing a guy from work for a few weeks after chatting for a few months. He arranged some amazing dates for us, and we slept together this week :) Today he sent me a spontaneous text saying "Smitten :)". What do you think he means? I'm not sure what it means when a guy tells you he is smitten. Thanks :)

A reader, anonymous, writes (1 October 2010):

Only intelligent guys even remember that word, so he's most likely more worth it than most to hold onto, and that's exactly what he wants, is to hold onto you. In saying he's smitten, he's telling you he gets all the right feelings from you he's been wanting in a girl, and he's very satisfied with who you are.
