My ex bf dumped me a little over 2 months ago and I`m still in the process of trying to move on and get over it. We were both at a small party recently and I chose to ignore him when he once tried to talk to me, enjoyed myself, and had a great time. A little while later after the party, he suddenly contacted a mutual friend I was with and asked him to apologize to me for him over something trivial that he had nothing to do with. What does it mean if your ex that dumped you suddenly contacts you? Are they sorry for what they have done and may want to work things out? Or are they just trying to be friends? I don`t know how to interpret his sudden contact and I don`t want to get my hopes up over nothing. Please help I would appreciate any response!

Satin's right, it could be any or all of the above.

Anything from "He was drunk and hoping for a shag since the girl he really wanted didn't show up." right through to "He's realised he wants to marry you and that's his way of proposing."

My advice is to ignore it and carry on trying to get over him.

Good Luck!! xx
