Perhaps hes Guilty of something! Or he could just be simply trying to tell you how grateful he is. There isnt much to go on here, so I'm not sure what context he could mean it in. I would take it in that he loves you and that hes glad hes got you, and its just him feeling that hes a lucky guy.. I have said it in the past to my guy when he has done something really nice for me... just say it in an off the cuff manor... you know kinda " your too good for me". As I say I dont know the way in which he has said it, hes probably just glad to be with you. I doubt very much if it would mean that he wishes you wouldnt do so much for him, as it makes him overshadowed but maybe ask him that one. otherwise it sounds as though hes just happy!

reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2005): I'm not sure. It could have a number of meanings: it could be that he feels guilty, but then again it could just be that he feels low about himself at the moment. Try to reasure him and ask him why he said that!
