Ripe is when the fruit isnt matured enough. Rotten is when it is over matured. Right? It think if anything he was calling you young since there is a 10 yr age difference.

It could hardly be that you are old. 23 is not old. And that would be relative to who's asking. Perhaps it was said in a good way, as in you are young but mature enough?
I don't know though, but why should you care. Let them speak, don't bother with it. If people were to get bothered or hung up on everything everyone ever said about them they might just roll over right away. It's hardly worth it.

To be honest of have never reffered to a member of the opposite sex as being abit ripe, and have not heard it before either. I don't think it would be aimed at your age as you are only 23, but feel it may be more torward someone being abit of alright, or fit, like ripe for the picking.
