 You should break up with the bf, because you don't like him the way you used to. You're right there. But I would let some time go before you try to get with his mate. Otherwise your bf could get really hurt. You don't want that kind of rep. Good luck.

 I guess it's not sly, you can't really help your feelings. If you asked him though, he might see it that you're using him to get to know the friend better. Best not let it develop. Either come clean and tell him and explain FULLY, chances are he'll dump you, but what do you expect! I'd leave him and explain why, but if you decide to go for the friend, don't go for him straight away. Hope I helped =D
