Love is not about age, colour or creed.
Love is about joy , happiness, contentment and wellbeing.
Parents who insist on their definitions have not changed with the times.
They become history.

Well, my opinion is that when you're older, age gaps don't really matter, I mean, a few years? No problem, except maybe when there's one that's like a 30 year-difference.
But it is totally different when you're young and in high-school, yeah maybe a year or two below or above, but that's it.
So I guess I can see where your parents are coming from when they worry, but that's parents, it's their job, and plus they do know better, I will admit.

Just make sure he loves you for you and isn't just dating you because your young and beautiful... But other than that if you both love or like each other and you like each other for the right reasons then I see nothing wrong with it :)*~VG~*

A

In a few years a five year age gap is really nothing at all.
